Life admin prompts 🏡
From @techyai_cj. The boring stuff that runs your actual life: dinner, the email you keep avoiding, the call you're dreading, the paperwork you're scared to sign. Six prompts, full versions, copy buttons on every one. Nothing here needs a paid plan.
01 · The dinner decision
Here's what's in my fridge and pantry: [list what you've got, roughly is fine]. Give me three dinner options I can make in under thirty minutes with only this. For each one: what it is, the steps in plain language, and how long it takes. Then build me a grocery list for the rest of the week so I'm not doing this again tomorrow. We are [number] people and [any allergies or dislikes].
02 · The email you keep avoiding
Write the reply I've been putting off. Here's the situation: [what happened, who it's to, and why you've been avoiding it]. Here's their last message: [paste it]. Keep my reply kind, short, and final, so it doesn't invite three more rounds of back and forth. No corporate filler. Sound like a person.
03 · The overloaded weekend
Here are my next three weekends and what's already booked on them: [anything fixed]. Here's my to do list: [paste the list]. Spread the tasks across the three weekends so nothing lands all on one day. Put the ones that need daylight or open stores in the right slots, batch anything that shares a car trip, and tell me what to do first each day.
04 · The phone call you're dreading
I need to dispute this charge: [who charged you, how much, what happened, and what you want out of the call]. Give me exactly what to say when they pick up, in my words, not legal speak. Then list what they'll probably say back, and what I say to each one. Include the one sentence I should repeat if they stall, and when to ask for a supervisor.
Works the same for cancelling a subscription, a bill that jumped, or a deposit you want back. Swap the situation in.
05 · The big purchase
I'm about to buy [thing, price, and the link or model if you have it]. Before I do: ask me five questions, one at a time, about why I want it, what I already own that does this, and what else that money is for. Then tell me honestly if I need it, and give me the cheaper version of getting what I actually want if there is one.
06 · The scary paperwork
Explain this lease, contract, or insurance letter like a friend who actually reads these things: [paste the text or attach the document]. Plain language, section by section, and keep it short. Flag anything unusual, anything that costs me money later, and anything I should push back on before signing. Then give me the three questions I should ask them.
For anything legally serious, this is the briefing before the professional, not the replacement for one.
Make them yours
The brackets are the whole trick. The more real detail you drop in, the less generic the answer comes back. And if you use one of these weekly, save your filled version so next time it's one paste.
