The job hunt prompts 🎯

From @techyai_cj. The job hunt prompt nobody uses: make Claude argue why you will NOT get the interview. That one, plus the two that follow it, in the order that works. Attack first. Find the gaps. Rewrite last. Most people start at the rewrite and polish a resume that was aimed at the wrong things.

01 · The one that stings

paste the job post and your resume first, then this
the attack

Argue why I would not get an interview for this role. Be specific and blunt.

It finds things a rewrite prompt never will. Let it be harsh. You want to hear this from Claude now, not from silence after you apply.

02 · Find the gaps

same chat, right after the first one
the gaps

List what this job post asks for that my resume fails to prove. For each one, ask me a question that would surface the proof.

You usually have the experience. The resume just does not say it. Answer its questions honestly and the proof shows up.

03 · The rewrite

only after the first two
the fix

Rewrite only the bullets that need it. Keep my wording and my voice. Do not invent anything.

The keep my voice part matters. Recruiters can smell a full AI rewrite. You want your resume sounding like you on your best day, not like a language model.

Why this order

1. Attack first. You find out what a skeptical reader actually sees.

2. Find the gaps. You dig up the proof you already have.

3. Rewrite last. Now the rewrite is aimed at the right things.

Want the full resume system too? Building a master file and cutting it down per job is its own guide: 3 resume prompts.

I'm a software developer and I post what I actually run.
